The Village of Swanton is excited to announce the inaugural Civic Engagement Academy. Village Council and Village Officials strongly support this community initiative and program as a way for community members to learn more about Village operations. This will be a tool to provide accurate and transparent information in an interactive format. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and commitment to seven week lecture sessions on Thursday evenings from late August until early October 2021. The Village of Swanton is excited to announce the opening of a survey to garner input from the community on playground options at Memorial Park. We hope the community reviews all the options and provides input on their Memorial Park! Village Council urges the community to provide their thoughts and welcomes discussion on other aspects of Memorial Park as well. Due to the storm overnight June 20-21, Village Public Service crews will perform an emergency brush-up on Monday June 28, 2021. This should allow time for residents to pick up fallen branches. Please remember that this pick up is due to rain and wind which caused the limbs to fall. This is not for clearing lots or removal of entire trees. Please have brush to curb, or side of road, by 7:00 a.m. on June 28. Village Public Service crews reserve the right to not pick up a pile if it does not comply with regulations. The next regularly scheduled brush pick up is Monday July 12.

On Friday May 21, a third party vendor will tape off the upper parking lots near the tennis courts and Field 2 in order to seal coat and stripe. The process will be complete by mid morning however the area will be blocked off until Saturday May 22, in the morning, as it needs 24 hours before it can be driven on. On Tuesday May 18, from 8am-5:00pm, Brookside Drive, from Hallett Avenue to Crestwood Drive will be closed to thru traffic due to some underground infrastructure work. All local residents will have access to their drives. Thank you for your cooperation.
Installs for the Phase 2 Meter update Project will begin on May 12. Three installers will be in the Village attending to appointments. They will all have ID and drive trucks with PMI logo on them.
