Zoning Permits

Planning and Zoning is a function of the Community Development Department. The Village Administrator also acts as the Zoning Inspector and oversees all of the planning and zoning related matters that occur within the Village of Swanton. This includes issuing zoning certificates, enforcing the zoning code, and providing informational assistance to the Planning Commission and Committee of Zoning Appeals.

Memorial Park Master Plan

In late 2018, Village Council approved moving forward with a Master Plan for Memorial Park beginning in the 2019 fiscal year. In 2019, there was a public forum as well as a public survey to garner suggestions on what the community would like to see in Memorial Park. The Village of Swanton engaged Poggemeyer Design Group to assist in formulating a template for a Master Plan. If you have any questions related to the Master Plan please reach out to the Village Administrator: admin@villageofswantonohio.us and/or 419.826.9515.
